Getting Read

I didn’t believe it either, but recent reports indicate people are reading my stories, “Wire Chest” at least.

Last month, a few generous people recommended my Alice Blue story. Seth Fischer at rumpus.net included it in a list with three other “very weird and fun short stories I like that’ll only take you a minute to read but will make your day better.”

Danielle Davis included “Wire Chest” in a list of two other “beautiful” short stories.

And if there were three words used to describe the story, I would hope they’d be weird, fun and beautiful.

Fictiondaily.org also mentioned the story on June 3.

Thank you, all three, for the mentions.

In other news, I just got word that The Cleveland Review will be publishing my story, “Smartest Brother,” on July 31. In “Smartest Brother,” two longtime friends find themselves on opposite sides of a union vote, then at each others’ throats when the vote closes their plant.
